The smallest big surprise.

Tonight, I learned a few lessons about surprises. It has always meant to me the works, the bells and the whistles, the fancy schmancy stuff.

Tonight, I found out that surprises doesn’t always have to be loud. And just because it’s not loud doesn’t mean it’s no good. It is good. It actually made me very happy too. As happy as I would have been by a jump-out-of-the-box kind of surprise.

Tonight, I realised that the unspoken surprises have the biggest impact. Ok I’m exaggerating. Not the biggest, but big enough to grin like the Cheshire Cat. And who cares that I’ll need to be up for work in four hours. Who needs sleep when you can thrive on being contented and happy?
